'PRIDE' Langhe Rosato
"We used 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The vineyard we selected is located in the mid of La Morra hill with a South-Eastern exposure and higher in altitude (about 320 meters above sea level), it is called Le Ru-Roggeri, the vines are 10 years old, our youngest Nebbiolo plants, perfect for Rosato.
We harvested our grapes in the mid of September.
Similar to the previous vintage, the grapes were pressed whole cluster with a consecutive maceration of about 8 hours in the press. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tank and then refined in a concrete tank.
The color is pale pink. Its color is more gentle and softer nuance of pink than last year because it is 100% Nebbiolo grapes with no Barbera blend.
Our Langhe Rosato presents a beautiful bouquet of delicate roses and white flowers, like gardenia, and a very intense note of fresh and crisp fruit, especially cherry and redcurrant, some nuances of red apple and yellow peach appear at the end.
On the palate it is a structured wine, more dense, more vertical and with a bright minerality."
Who do we support?
With each bottle of PRIDE Langhe Rosato purchased, the proceeds will go to the ACLU or American Civil Liberties Union, an organization dedicated to realizing the promise of the Bill of Rights for all and expanding the reach of its guarantees. The ACLU works to ensure members of the LGBTQ+ community can live without discrimination and enjoy freedom of expression. From the ACLU: “Pride has never been just about the parties. To the LGBTQ community, Pride is about staking our place in the world and speaking truth to power. It’s about making clear that we’re here, we belong, and we are resilient — resilient together.” Given pandemic challenges, our Italian partners @oddero will continue to sell its Langhe Rosato to benefit @direcontrolaviolenza — an incredible organization in support of Italian women.
