'GRL' Langhe Rosato
"Our United Vines Langhe Rosato 2019 is produced with 75% Nebbiolo grapes and 25% Barbera grapes. Both varieties are cultivated in our own parcels in the village of La Morra, more precisely the hills of San Biagio in Santa Maria, Hamlet.
The vines are quite aged; the Nebbiolo vines are 20 years old and the Barbera vines are 15 years old.
The harvest in 2019 was a beautiful and classic harvest— near excellent. It was quite late in the typical harvest season, being that we harvested the grapes for the Rosato on the second week of October. The grapes were pressed whole cluster, consecutive maceration for about 8 hours. They were then fermented in stainless steel tanks. It was then bottled in March.
The color is pale pink with ruby tinges. On the nose one recognizes floral nuances, typical of Nebbiolo variety— bright roses and violets. There is a very present note of fresh red fruit and sour cherry, which is typical of Barbera variety. The aromatic profile is completed by some notes of yellow peach and tropical fruit. On the palate the wine shows a good acidity and a hint of tannins, making it certainly a territorial wine."
