Grape: 100% Nebbiolo (from our youngest vines)
2022 season: picking began in the middle of September for the grapes used for our Rosato. The grapes had a perfect maturity, showing excellent sugar levels and a good acid profile. The 2022 vintage was characterized by a severe draught during the season but the vines in the Langhe showed once again their unrivalled capacity for adaptation. The ripening of Nebbiolo grapes was not overly anticipated so, it was possible to maintain great acidity and a very interesting aromatic profile with the wines.
Vilification, aging and bottling: the grapes were pressed whole cluster with a consecutive maceration of about 8 hours in the press. Fermented in stainless steel tank. It was bottled on the 23rd of March 2023.
Characteristics of the wine: the color is a very delicate pink tone, it shows the classic shade of the antique rose. "YOU" Rosato 2022 presents a delicate bouquet with notes of rosehip, violets, and white peach. The mouthfeel is fresh and savory, softly balanced with a long finish and a final taste of liquorice and raspberry.
Like previous years, our Nebbiolo Rosato has a good structure and a very interesting ageing potential and it confirms once again the potential of Nebbiolo grape and its nature of being a territorial wine. It is a versatile wine that shows the pure and beautiful fruit expression and elegance of Nebbiolo.
